Hello. My name is Marie Florian.
PLASTIC CUP is a blog that focuses on scooping up different thoughts and observations about the INTERNET.
Why the name PLASTIC CUP?
I have a purple plastic cup sitting on my desk. It used to be a drinking glass but now it is a pen and scissors holder. I like the cup because it has the ability to adapt to new situations and continues to be useful and current. And… it is good at scooping up things.
A few things about me:
14 years experience working with traditional digital media as an Event Producer, Creative Director and Project Manager. I’ve been involved with organising all sorts of national corporate events. I’m passionate about creating compelling quality content online and are very interested in streaming video.

Hi Marie,
I like your new blog and it’s nice that you say Thank You for all the freebies out there.
While I love the innovation personally I find all the cyberspace freebies a little tricky from the professional web development/online marketing space since stakeholders now have all these huge expectations about what you can deliver within corporate budgets. They think its all so easy to do, because well, it’s free on Facebook (or WordPress etc)…
Someone has to pay, somewhere along the line…
Keep up the great work!
